Method

Step 1: Cream together the shortening and both sugars.
Step 2: Add apples, nuts and egg. Mix well.
Step 3: Mix the flour, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon; add to the apple mixture.
Step 4: Bake in a greased pan at 350°F for 30 minutes.
